Abuse occurs when one person misuses their power to dominate another person for their own benefit. There are many different types of abuse.
Some of the most common forms of abuse, but not limited to these: physical abuse, psychological abuse (emotional, mental, and spiritual), sexual abuse, verbal abuse, and neglect. Abuse often includes coercion, intimidation, manipulation, and deception.
At times, admitting you have been abused can bring fear and shame. Perhaps you feel like you are crazy for even thinking you are being/or have been abused. You are not alone. Our trained staff is here to walk with you in the healing process.
