Frank Theus, LPC, NCC

Frank received his Master of Arts in Counseling from Covenant Theological Seminary after retiring from a diverse and full career in the U.S. Foreign Service and serving overseas in the U.S. Army. He is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Missouri, having counseled individuals and couples from a variety of backgrounds in church and private office settings. He is currently a Certified Sexual Addiction Therapist Candidate (CSAT®) and has several years’ experience leading support groups for men emerging out of sexual brokenness.

“I can help if you are struggling with internet porn or sex addiction, coping with trauma, if you are an adult survivor of childhood sexual abuse, suffering from anxiety, concerned about sleeplessness and fatigue, longing for closer relationships, experiencing depression and grief, chronic pain, and desiring intimacy in all of your relationships. I will collaborate with you to identify the impact of your life’s experiences on your current sense of well-being. You will find a safe place to discover who you are in relationship to yourself, others, and God – in the hope that there is substantial healing for your relationships among family, friends, and workmates.

As an addiction specialist, I use assessment tools that help with diagnosing sexual and relational addictions, provide proven treatment plans, and encourage active participation in a variety of 12-step recovery programs where indicated.

People from all walks of life can suffer trauma, abuse and identity issues. My previous work experience in private industry and federal law enforcement, including eight years overseas, makes me particularly sensitive to people who feel isolated or wonder where to turn for help. I have a proven track record of helping clergy, veterans, law enforcement professionals, emergency responders and their families.

Personally coming from a biblical perspective, I use sound counseling techniques and theories to help you work through transitions, emotions, and questions about life and spirituality. And, I treat all clients with dignity regardless of faith background in order to help hurting people grow and change.”
