Gina is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (MHNP) with more than 20 years of healthcare experience serving patients across the lifespan. Since becoming a registered nurse in Missouri in 2004, she has built a diverse clinical background that ultimately led her to specialize in psychiatric care. She also hold a Master of Arts in Counseling from Covenant Theological Seminary, which continues to shape her collaborative, patient-centered approach to treatment. She believes medication management is most effective when integrated with psychotherapy and enjoys partnering with therapists to provide comprehensive, individualized care.

“Although my current clinical practice focuses on perinatal psychiatry, including the treatment of mental health conditions and substance use disorders during pregnancy and the postpartum period, I am excited to expand my practice to include adolescents, and adults. I provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and thoughtful medication management in a welcoming, nonjudgmental environment where patients feel heard, supported, and empowered to participate in their care. My goal is to help each person navigate life’s challenges while promoting resilience, healing, and lasting emotional wellness.

My prescribing philosophy emphasizes thoughtful, evidence-based care and shared decision-making. Rather than simply prescribing medication, I believe the best outcomes occur when patients understand their treatment options, have the opportunity to ask questions, and work together with me to develop a plan that aligns with their needs and goals. Medication can be an important part of treatment, but not every mental health concern requires medication. When appropriate, I may recommend psychotherapy, lifestyle interventions, additional assessment, or other approaches either before or alongside medication treatment.

Because I practice within a therapy office, I view my role as complementing, not replacing, the important work taking place in therapy. With your permission, I hope to collaborate with your therapist so that we can work toward shared treatment goals and provide coordinated, consistent care. I value the unique perspective therapists bring through their ongoing work with patients and believe that collaboration between therapy and psychiatric care can lead to better-informed treatment decisions.”
